My name is Richard La Plante. And what I've developed with Real Strength Now is a method of exercise using natural functional movement that taps in to our autonomic nervous system. The part of the nervous system that controls heart rate, blood pressure and relaxation.
The part of the nervous system that takes us from fight or flight, stress into recovery, and recovery is where everything happens. The body heals, the mind heals. We need recovery. So my method of exercise in Real Strength Now works with the nervous system taking us from fight or flight to recovery, and allows us to gain this conscious control through conscious breath and conscious movement. That's the essence of Real Strength Now.
